By Word and Deed

Welcome to By Word and Deed.


I borrowed the title, By Word and Deed, from the Baptismal Covenant. As Christians, we are all called to proclaim by word and deed the Good News of God in Christ. The ways in which we fulfill that call are as unique as each person. Life is broken up into phases separated by a series of turning points. I am at such a turning point yet again in my life. I found myself wanting more from my employment, and have taken a leap of faith, quit my job, and am embarking on a period of discernment to find my way of fulfilling my Baptismal Covenant.


I hope that this blog will aid in that discernment (and that of others who feel called to do something different) by being a place to share reflections and ask questions.

If there is a topic you think a person discerning a call to ordained ministry should consider, please tell me! It is my hope that this becomes a virtual space through which the Holy Spirit flows freely.
